The OGCIO Base Registry and Data Reuse Survey Report gives an overview of the potential opportunities and challenges to establishing base registries in the Public Service. Base registries are an authoritative source of a specific dataset that facilitates greater data reuse over data re-collection across the Public Service. The report provides a broad picture of current data sharing and reuse practices between Public Service Bodies as well as key perspectives on base registry concepts.
The key information from the survey will support the development of the data sharing strategy, and will used by the OGICO and Data Governance Board when considering supports and structures in the designation of base registries.
